Mark Blu Digital Media is yours truly, Mark Blu (plus collaborators when appropriate and necessary).  Mark Blu Digital Media (MBD) is focused on the creation and publication of, you guessed it, digital media. 

In our case this means logos, graphics, websites and music.  I've also performed a few data recoveries on accidentally formatted hard drives.  I'm still trying to figure out how one accidentally formats a drive but I digress.

My interest in music started at an early age. It started with piano at around age seven and moved on to guitar when I was 10.  In the seventies I was fortunate enough to play in a prog rock band that put out an album and played at some well known venues.  We did interviews on KROQ, KNAC and KWST.  A couple of those stations are long gone and when we did KROQ they didn't even have a broadcasting license.  Since then I have played on other albums and I continue to write music and record.

I manage to stay pretty busy.  By day I'm the COO at a mid-sized corporation.   The rest of the time I'm something of a tech geek. I have a small project studio in an industrial park where I can make big noise and not frighten the neighbors.  I do most of my recording there.  I also have the ability to do mobile recording. 

I can't help but marvel (still!) at the technology that allows me to do basically anything I can dream up from anywhere in the world, almost.  I remember dreaming of one day owning my own multi-track studio. This was before CDs, DVDs, MP3s or any of the other technologies we now take for granted.  At the time I couldn't have possibly imagined that I would be able to produce very high quality recordings this way.   Life is good!
